Film-critic, Gary Cogill, has reviewed more than ten thousand films and conducted twenty thousand interviews over a 25+ year career. Wine expert, Hayley Hamilton Cogill, is a Sommelier who travels the world chasing the grape, always in search of the perfect glass. Together they are the perfect pairing.  From films like “Lawrence Of Arabia” to “Heat” to “La La Land,” to spectacular Willamette Valley Pinot Noir and traveling through Italy, Spain, Napa and beyond, join them for an inciteful conversation of classic favorites and unique new finds, of both film and wine.

Gary Cogill is an Emmy award-winning journalist, speaker, producer, actor, host and consultant. For 24 years, Gary served as the film critic for WFAA-TV in Dallas (ABC), reviewing more than 10,000 films and conducting more than 20,000 interviews with the most influencial leaders in the industry. Gary has sat down with the biggest names in the business including Robert DeNiro, Meryl Streep, Stephen Spielberg and Clint Eastwood.

After leaving WFAA-TV in 2010 he co-founded a Dallas, Texas based film production company. His producing credits include, “Words And Pictures,” starring Clive Owen and Juliette Binoche; “Believe Me,” starring Alex Russell and Nick Offerman; “Refuge,” starring Krysten Ritter and Brian Geraghty,” and “The Starck Club,” a feature documentary on the legendary 1980’s Texas nightclub.

Gary is also a much sought after speaker and moderator, hosting on stage “Evenings With” John Travolta, Al Pacino, Robert Duvall, David Mamet, Kevin Costner, Rob Lowe, Stephen Sondheim, Ken Burns, Danny Glover, Brooke Shields, Martin Sheen, Peter Bogdanovich, Marvin Hamlisch, and more. He is a member of SAG/AFTRA and The Broadcast Film Critics Association.

Recently, Gary jumped back into the world of reviewing films, working at the NBC Owned & Operated KXAS-TV in Dallas, TX. He and his wife, Hayley, are partners in Cogill Consulting and the weekly podcast “Wine & Film, A Perfect Pairing.” He is an avid fly fisherman, considers cooking an art form and jogging a life saver. He grew up in Portland, Oregon where he sat thru “Lawrence of Arabia” four nights in a row as a ten year old.

Wine, spirits and travel writer, consultant and educator, Hayley Hamilton Cogill, CS/CSW is Co-founder of Cogill Consulting, and Founder & President of Dallas Uncorked, a 501(c)3 not-for-profit wine education organization founded in 2004.

A Certified Sommelier and Certified Specialist of Wine, in 2010 Hayley left the corporate world as Vice President for The Nielsen Company to focus solely on wine, food and travel, writing for the city magazine of Dallas, TX, D Magazine, a position she has held for eight years. Additionally, Hayley freelances for various other publications, radio and television shows and has been featured on KTVT-TV/CBS in Dallas, KATU-TV/ABC in Portland, OR, and KTXD-TV/Dallas, including contributing weekly on “The Broadcast” from 2012-2015; TASTING ROOM RADIO (Vancouver, BC,) “Texas Daily” & “Taste Texas” (KTXD-TV), D Moms Magazine, Pink Memo Magazine New York & Los Angeles, Southern Bride Magazine, Fearless Critic Food Guide, and Beverly Drive Magazine.

Hayley is a member of the Dallas Chapter of Les Dames d’Escoffier International, and board member for 2015-2016; the Society of Wine Educators; the International Food, Wine and Travel Writers Association; and is on the Executive Leadership Board for Executives in Action.

Writing about and enjoying the celebration of food and wine is much of what guides Hayley’s everyday life, which she writes about on the Dallas Uncorked blog, Red Wine With Breakfast. She has tasted some of the best wine in the world, always seeking that completely perfect glass.
